With the epidural out, Barbara is feeling the pain in her abdomen area more today. She is taking her walks, but not going as far as a couple days ago. This is because of the additional pain and she is a little wobbly when she uses the pain meds. It is a touchy balance on whether to use the pain meds and how much especially before taking a walk.
It seems to us that the critical drain is slowing down which is very good news if true. That is the key signal that the leak is sealing and that additional surgery would probably not be needed. When we get official confirmation on that (or the opposite), I will pass that along. They are increasing the flow of the "food" going in through the feeding tube which is also a good sign.
We also heard that the pathology report was back on the "stuff" they removed from her, but only the surgeon can discuss that with us. Because this is one of her busy days, we are waiting on her having some time to come by and talk to us. Hopefully we will hear later today.
