Barbara did not have quite as good a night last night as the night before, but not too bad. They said she had a slight fever during the night so they did a chest X-ray just to safe. I don't think it showed anything, but they did give her some antibiotics this morning. Her temp was also normal when they took it after I got here, so pretty sure it was nothing serious.
Her side is still really hurting mainly when she takes a deep breath. She should be getting another lidocaine patch, but has not yet. That did help some yesterday.
The doctor indicated this morning that they would not be doing the leakage test for a couple days, so I guess that means she will be here for at least a full week and probably longer. She is sleeping a lot, but mostly short periods because of the regular interruptions. Her abdomin is starting to hurt some when she gets up to pee, but that is not a big surprise as long as it is not too bad. I am sure it would be a lot worse without the epidural.
Her blood pressure is still a little low, but getting closer to normal, so it is improving. She was allowed a very few ice chips today for her dry throat which was a surprise to us all (nurses included), but that was directly from her surgeon, so guess it is ok.
Right now it is mainly a waiting game for her to heal and not have any complications.
