Nausea is a little worse today, so the projection about the new drug regiment is proving to be about right,1 at least in that area. Her mouth and face felt a little strange some time during the night, but nothing that lasted very long. Otherwise, nothing else so far although she is not sleeping great. Hopefully the nausea will start getting a little better tomorrow or at least no worse. It will probably not start getting much better until she is done with the pump on Monday and will likely take a few days to get that out of her system so she can actually feel close to good again.
We are still waiting on the schedule for the CT (hopefully that will get scheduled on Monday when we go in to get the pump removed). However, we are now scheduled for her EUS (Endoscopic Ultra Sound) in Portland. That will be in 2 weeks on Friday morning (6/24). We then have an appointment with her surgeon the following Tuesday in Portland in the afternoon (6/28) to discuss options going forward and most likely to go over the details of the surgery she will likely be having to remove her stomach. Not sure how quickly that would happen, but could be soon after or several weeks later. That assumes they do not want to do another round of Chemo or the re staging changes the plan.
Although I am saying this cycle seems a little better than the first 2 from my perspective, she is still feeling pretty miserable. Being nauseous all the time has got to wear on you. She is handling it as well as can be expected, but I am sure she is getting tired of the feeling and TV is getting old. She is eating OK and since the cold sensitivity is essentially gone, she has no problem drinking. She did mention that the 5FU through the pump is giving her a bad taste in her mouth, but she has been able to eat some things.
