Cycle 3, Day 11

Today is about the same as yesterday although she says the soreness in her throat is slightly better.  I want to think it is starting to get better and we are finally heading in the right direction, but it is also possible what she thinks she is feeling may be either wishful thinking or wanting to give me an answer that it is getting better.  Tomorrow or Monday should give us a better idea about whether it is really better or not.  Hopefully by Monday, it will be good enough that she will be able to eat and drink more without as much pain. including the contrast medicine for the CT.  Right now she is barely getting enough liquids to keep from getting dehydrated as well as barely enough calories to keep from having other problems.

On the positive side, her nausea is definitely better than a week ago although it is still there.  Of course, at this point, the nausea could be caused by her poor diet (minimal liquids and minimal food).  No way to tell for sure until she can eat and drink more, but at least it is much better than a week ago.

She is very weak and fatigued and is doing little other than sitting and sleeping most of the day.   She does do some things first thing in the morning, so she is being as active as she can.  A lot of this is probably from the minimal diet, but could also still be partly from a direct side effect of the Chemo drugs.

Nothing else to report.  Mainly waiting for mouth soreness to improve, hopefully enough to swallow the contrast medicine on Monday morning as well as get more liquids and calories into her.
