Cycle 2, Day 6

Barbara's nausea and tingling/pain in her fingers, feet and mouth are about the same as yesterday.  It is starting to wear her down some since it has been fairly constant since her last treatment.  She has some good periods for her hands, etc. and has been able to do something other than just watch TV at times, but most of the time, TV is about all she up to doing and that is getting old.  I hope this starts getting better soon, both the nausea and tingling/pain, but we will just take it one day at a time.  The "tingling" did start getting better after the first week during cycle 1, but so far she is not really seeing any improvement.  Maybe in a couple more days.

The diarrhea has not come back yet although sometimes the urge comes on quickly, but she is handling it OK so far.

She is also not sleeping very well so we got a couple medications to try today.  Nothing very strong (Melatonin and an anti-anxiety pill).  We will try the Melatonin tonight and see if that works before trying the prescription medication.  She is eating OK although not a lot, so that is not an issue at this point.

Note to whoever had the cotton gloves sent from Amazon:  THANKS!!!!  She started wearing them immediately.  They are nice and soft and if she needs more thickness for warmth, she can put her other gloves over them and that works out great.  We have been using Nitrite gloves to go over other gloves if she is doing something that can get her hands wet and the combinations are working out well.  Whoever sent them, please let us know who you are and how much they were so we can pay you back.  Again, thanks for getting them sent to her as they are already helping her be more comfortable.
