Barbara is continuing to improve a little bit each day. Unfortunately, the improvement is very little, but it is going in the right direction. The nausea is definitely better today than a couple days ago as yesterday was also a little bit better. Her tingling continues to improve and she is also starting to get her normal tastes back although some things still taste different to her. Drinking also continues to be easier although she still needs to be careful with cold things.
Fatigue is still an issue although she has been keeping a little busier each day. However, as the day wears on, she starts to get more tired and fatigued. The mornings tend to be the best in other ways as well such as the tingling bothers her less and the nausea gets a little worse later in the day than first thing in the morning.
Bottom line is that she is generally doing pretty good right now and hopefully will continue to do a little better each day until her next treatment which will probably be on June 1st. We will meet with the doctor this Thursday afternoon to confirm the plan for the third cycle including when he will want to do a new CT scan to check on the latest with the Cancer. A re-staging of the Cancer to determine if she should have the surgery now or more Chemo first. I am guessing that may be as early as the middle of June. Of course, the results of the scan will determine exactly what comes after cycle 3.
Sorry no post yesterday, but there was not really much to report and to be honest, I forgot until late and just did not feel like doing it when I remembered. I may get lazy for the next couple days as well unless something changes more than a little. I will make sure I do an update after we meet with the doctor on Thursday. Things going smoothly and her just feeling a little better each day is a good thing, so not really needing to do an update every day is also good. Generally if there is no update on any given day, that is most likely good news.
