Barbara saw her regular doctor today and everything seems to be OK. He gave her a prescription to help with her hot flashes which have been getting worse lately, so hopefully that will help. He also renewed her medication for her Thyroid problem. He did not tell her to start the blood pressure medication again, but wants her to check her pressure regularly and let him know if it stays high and he will get her new medication for that. Otherwise, she is doing fine especially considering everything she has been through. I go next week for my checkup (been 2 years for me).
We still have her EGD Thursday afternoon with a follow up visit with her surgeon in Portland next Tuesday. Hopefully the scope on Thursday will be enough to take care of any restriction in the flow of food and food will stop getting stuck. If not, they may be able to do more in Portland, but let's hope that is not necessary.
I will let everyone know how Thursday goes.
