I heard from Barbara's surgeon concerning the Barium Swallow study this morning and her response is below:
"Study looks good from a surgical standpoint. There is no narrowing at the anastomosis. There is mild esophageal spasm in mid esophagus which probably explains the symptoms."
She went on to say she would contract a GI person and let us know what they might be able to do for this. Since we head to VA on Tuesday, I am not sure whether we will hear anything before we leave or not, but she has my email and Cell phone number, so hopefully we will hear something over the next week. Given these results, not sure how much can be done, but we will see. Barbara seems to be getting a little better at catching a problem before it gets bad, but it is still definitely something she would like to get resolved.
As mentioned, we head to VA for a wedding early Tuesday and will be back either Monday or Tuesday of the following week. If I hear anything substantial before we get back, I will try to do an update, but otherwise, I may not do a new post until we return.
