Monday morning, 10/17/16

Unfortunately, food is still getting stuck after the procedure last Thursday.  It seems to be a little better, but she is still having problems.  Given the results of the scope last week, not sure what the actual problem is and what can be done about it.  It seems to me (clearly not a doctor, but just what it is acting like), like there is something that is closing the passage off at random (at least as best we can tell) times and only releases after she throws up.  Once it releases, she is able to eat OK the rest of that time.  Most of the time, it seems to remain open and she can eat OK, so we have no clue what is causing the problem as we cannot identify anything specific that triggers it or causes the food to get stuck.  It generally does seem to be with the first few bites when it happens.  We see the surgeon tomorrow and hopefully she will have some ideas.

Her nausea is also still there.  It is present pretty much all the time, but is worse after eating.  So far, she has not been able to figure out which foods make her feel worse, but we are trying to come up with a plan to figure that out.

Otherwise, we are doing good, but the nausea and food getting stuck is getting old for her.  Everything seems to have healed at this point, so that is good and so far there is no indication that there is any cancer left.
