Barbara had another Endoscopy this afternoon and according to the doctor, everything looked very good. There was a little narrowing at the surgical location (where Esophagus was joined to her Intestines), but not much. He did stretch that out a little, but he was not sure if that was enough to be causing her problem with food getting stuck, but he hoped it would help. Otherwise, he said it looked very good with no indication of any other problems and even though he indicated before he went on that he would likely take some biopsies to check for any problems, he did not see anything that looked worth taking a sample. This is a further indication that all of the cancer is gone although nothing is for sure for at least a couple years.
We did eat on the way home and nothing got stuck going down although food did not always get stuck at every meal before, but we are looking at it as a good sign. We go back to her surgeon in Portland on Tuesday to discuss these results and talk about whether anything else might be needed. We will see how she does over the next few days to help decide how much this helped.
Bottom line is that things are continuing to look good although it will likely be a long road before everything is completely back to "normal".
