Well, I have been saying that Barbara seems to be getting a little better every day and for the most part that has been true.  Her various cuts, incisions and sores are all pretty much gone or healed (feeding tube hole is the last thing healing, but getting very close to completely healed).  However, her nausea does not seem to be getting any better.  It is not nearly as bad all the time as when she was on the Chemo drugs, but it is still there most of the time especially after eating.  Pretty much anything she eats bothers or upsets her "stomach" or gut and makes eating not something she looks forward to.  Things are also getting stuck a lot which makes her feel even worse and she often ends up throwing up a little bit to get what is stuck out.  The sticking part will be getting looked at in the next couple weeks, but not sure what they will be able to do about it.  Unfortunately, not sure what to do about the nausea either.  The nausea pills help a little, but not that much and we hate to keep taking drugs unless she has to.  We are still hoping it is all just adjusting to food going directly into her intestines, but until it actually starts getting better, it is discouraging.

She is able to keep pretty busy most of the time and even though she still tires quicker than normal, she is doing OK.

She is also still having trouble getting a good nights sleep partly because of the restless leg issue and partly because she is still a little sore in some areas (that is getting better) and we are not sure what to do about that either, but are trying whatever we can think of.

Basically, wish us luck on figuring all of this out.

Wayne
