Well, unfortunately, the nausea is back in full force. With her stomach gone along with the ulcer and tumor, we had really hoped the nausea would be much less this time, but at least so far, I guess not. She has been able to eat and drink some, but it looks like we will be glad she still has the feeding tube. This is only the second day and although the third day is usually the worst, hopefully it will start to get better after that. The real test will be if the sores in her mouth come back. If that happens, not sure what we will do for the next cycle. At least no other side effects so far.
The real problem is that there is not really anything we can do about this. She is taking as much of the nausea medicine as she can and although it does help a little, especially right after taking it, they do not really make a big difference in how she feels. Having to carry the pump for the 5FU all the time including all night is a pain as well. At least she is through 1 day and only 4 left with that.
Not much else to say at this point. I just hope it does not get worse over the weekend. I will still try to do daily updates. Sorry that yesterdays did not come out until this morning. I am not sure what happened as I thought I had published it when I entered the data last night, but it was only saved as a draft.
