home, day 13

The waiting continues although the drainage does seem to be slowing down and getting clearer which I understand is a good sign.  It has dropped down to only 3cc this morning which is the lowest it has been since coming home.  Hopefully it will drop to zero in the next couple days and we can go in for the test.  We still see the Oncologist on Thursday and still have a tentative appointment with the surgeon on Friday but that could change depending on when a test may be done.  We keep hoping and waiting.

Barbara is feeling pretty good most of the time although she still feels drained and is of course, still sore where she was cut.  She is taking longer and longer walks each day even though she feels drained a lot of the time.  She is also feeling hungry a lot of the time now even with the feeding tube at night.  She is handling it great most of the time although she has her moments when she just wants it all to be over.

Two of her sisters are planning to come for a short visit early next week which will be a great distraction.  We have also had some visits from local friends and those have also been a welcome distraction from the waiting.  All of these efforts are greatly appreciated.
