We met with Barbara's Oncologist yesterday and everything is still looking good. They did blood work and the results were all good with everything showing normal ranges. She started her on a new medication to try and help a little with the nausea and to possibly reduce her need for estrogen to reduce her hot flashes. We will see how that works over the next month or so.
Barbara will have her 6 month CT scan in late May with a followup visit with the Oncologist on May 31st, so hopefully that will still show nothing. Otherwise, things will be quiet for the next couple months. She will still do the Port Flush every 4 weeks and we both meet with our new DOC at the end of this month, but that is more of a get to know him appointment.
Barbara is now down 62 pounds from before all this started and her hair is also back although it is very curly and dark (with some gray) which is very different than before. It is also very thin which is making it somewhat wild. As far as her weight is concerned, she is losing it even slower now (maybe a pound a week or even less), so she is started to stabilize. Most things still bother her to eat, but she is managing OK. We still hope this will get better over time, but I have a feeling she will always have some issue with eating.
If anything unusual happens, I will do an addition post, but if things stay quiet, I will probably not do anything until after the May appointment. So far things continue to look very good.
