Everything is still going very good. She just had her port flushed and there was no problem. We did meet with a Nutritionist back in late December and she gave us some ideas on eating, but most of what she suggested we were already doing.
Barbara is still struggling with eating enough mainly because she gets full quickly and usually is nauseated after eating. They say it takes a year to adjust, but I am wondering if she may always have some issues with the "new eating". But she is really doing pretty well and only losing 1-2 pounds a week. Once she gets down to where she wants to be, that will be the real test- getting enough in to not lose any more weight. We will likely call on the nutritionist again when we get there.
Her hair has come back but it is very curly and a combination of black and grey- no blond at all as far as we can tell. Hopefully it will less curly as it gets longer.
Wayne and family as well as Jessica with Russell and Robert came for Christmas, so that made for a much better than expected holiday for us. Having two little ones at Christmas is always something to enjoy.
We see her Oncologist on March 1st although she will not be doing a new scan, but will probably do blood work. We don't expect anything new at that point, but I will try to do a brief update after that appointment.
Sorry I have not done any updates for some time, but things are really going great and there has not been anything to report. So far she remains cancer free which is great! Hopefully that will remain the same for next couple years as that is the highest risk time period.
