Finally got an appointment with the GI people. Unfortunately, it is not until Dec. 1st around noon in Portland. Barbara also has a CT scan and blood work scheduled for Dec. 2nd with a followup appointment with her Oncologist on Dec. 9th. So basically, pretty quiet for the next three weeks and then busy at the beginning of December.
Otherwise, she continues to do pretty well. The lumps I mentioned previously are still there, but are no worse and maybe a little better. If they get worse, she will end up going to her local Doctor, but otherwise she will discuss with the Oncologist when she goes in December. She continues to eat OK and is only losing a little weight (about 1-2 pounds a week which is what she wants to do), so even with the food still getting stuck sometimes and having to throw up to get the blockage open some times, she is eating enough to stay healthy. We are also continuing to take walks and keep busy, so she is generally continuing to do better over all. Unless something shows up in the December checks, we are well on the way to getting all this behind us even though she will be watched very carefully for at least a couple years.
